Tesla has only ever posted a profit twice, and that was yrs ago. Last year their loss for Q1 was $336M, and I remember correctly that was on revenue of like $3.2B where this time the $701M is on revenue of like $7B.
The batteries and some parts are not cost-effective, (hence why they released all their patents) because allowing other companies to build electric cars means you have more people working on lowering the cost of those batteries and parts.he’s not gonna fuck you
